I was probably in my first year of high school when I first watched this movie with my father at home in Tiwi, Albay -- it was one of his favorite films. Through a simple bootleg betamax tape, I was introduced to the talents of Robert De Niro and Meryl Streep. Over the years, I have watched and re-watched this film so many times -- and every time I hear the movie's theme song, "Cavatina," it brings a tear to my eye by reminding me of the good old days I spent with my late father.
